The Long Island Welcome Center pit stop is packed with tidbits of LI information and Long Island treasures. It is by far one of the cleanest, most welcoming, and comfortable pit stops in all of my pit stop history. Therefore, it is definitely worth stopping by even if you do not need a pit stop.
The LI Welcome Center offers clean spacious bathrooms, contemporary design to the building itself, decent sized parking lot, children’s play area, dog walking space, electric car charging ports, and enough space so as not to feel crowded or rushed during your time there.
Firstly, I did not expect to find a mini museum with enjoyable and interesting artifacts; as well as such a wide range and diverse products to choose from: “Taste NY partners with over 1,800 New York State farmers and producers.” Secondly, there is plenty of information about Long Island that is decoratively placed throughout the ceiling, walls, and floor. Therefore, it made for a cute fun wandering voyage while you rest, explore, or wait on your traveling buddies.
Furthermore, the LI Welcome Center is open 24/7 with live customer service available at the Taste NY Market daily from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
