BLACK OWNED BUSINESS NK RESTAURANT
The DJ played a variety of great music, mostly reggae; and with each tune, I was ready to jump out of my seat and buss a ‘wine’! My hips were in rhythm which blended well with our mixed drinks. The music was everything and the mood was set.
After being seated, we were given clean hot towels to cleanse our hands prior to eating and submitting our order. The appetizers, entrees, main course meals, and desserts were wonderful! Our waiter was extremely attentive and made sure we always had everything we needed. Our waiter was always available and anything we needed, from water to drinks to our to-go plates, everything was given with courtesy and promptness. The Owner(s) even took some time to visit our table to make sure everything was up to par and even helped deliver items to the tables.
The menu has a lot of yummy options, and everyone will find something for their fancy. The presentation was amazing, but more importantly, the food was flavorful and savory. Every bite left my tastebuds wanting more. For instance, for food we ordered salt fish spring rolls, curry shrimp roti, jerk whole lobster mac & cheese, oxtails & shrimps, indulgent black cake, and peanut butter whiskey cake; and for drinks we ordered Sky Juice and Mary Jane – magnificent! Your senses will be stimulated, and you will be highly satisfied. Everything is reasonably priced, as such, the quantity and quality of each serving were justified.
I must also mention that the decor is gorgeous – did I already point out the vibe? *Insert smirk smile* From the ceiling to the floor to the bathroom (quick side note, I love the sink in the women’s bathroom!) – all wonderfully decorated and a well-maintained atmosphere which will not disappoint your eyes. The lighting was ideal as well, as it was not too bright and neither too dark. Nuvo Kitchen is a restaurant with a contemporary, upscale, chic and classy look – there are plexiglasses between the tables and distanced well enough to feel covid compliant with an air of privacy for your party. There is a fashionable dress code, and you will want to bring your stylish game to fit the scene.
NK Restaurant is the perfect mix of party and cuisine. The ambiance and music were perfect. The guest service was exceptional, and the experience was memorable. This is definitely now one of my favorite date night spots, and great for any other occasion as well.
