📖Step Into the History of The Milleridge Village

The story of Milleridge Village reaches all the way back to 1653, when a group of New England settlers first arrived in the area. Just a few years later, in 1672, Mary Willets began building the structure that would eventually become the Milleridge Inn. What started as a tiny two-room home with a central fireplace has grown and evolved over the centuries. Remarkably, the original construction still stands today, surrounded by the many additions and expansions that have shaped the property into the historic landmark we know and love.

The village is designed to look like a quaint colonial/New England-style village. It features a brick-walkway layout and small specialty shops, including a bakery, general store, toy shop, Christmas store, and café. These shops are more than decorative; they sell baked goods, knick-knacks, ice cream, seasonal items, etc.

Christmas Village: There’s an annual Christmas event where the village gets heavily decorated with lights, carolers, and more.

Halloween / Haunted Village: They run a family-friendly haunted village in October, complete with a haunted house, pumpkin patch, spooky train, escape room, and more.

So, the village is not just a shopping spot – it’s also a seasonal entertainment destination.
